CIO
Magazine: Net Integration Technologies delivers
on autonomic computing today
CIO Magazine highlights Net Integration
Technologies' advanced autonomic technology in
the publication's October 27, 2003 issue.
"Autonomic systemsdefined
(by IBM at least) as self-managed, self-healing,
self-configuring, self-optimizing and self-protectingare
something of the Holy Grail for just about every
large IT vendor these days. But while autonomic
today is perhaps 10 percent product and 90 percent
hype, a small Canadian vendor called Net Integration
seems to be providing something real."

Smart Technology Enablers, Inc.' Mark
IIIR server was featured in PC Magazine's "Full
Service: 1U Server Roundup" article in
the publication's October 28, 2003 issue.
"If you're looking for a
powerful all-in-one solution offering a variety
of server functions - and ease of use is a big
draw - check out the Net Integrator line."
Net Integration was at Comdex as part of the Canada
pavilion, which was sponsored by the federal government's
Department of Foreign Affairs and International
Trade. The pavilion allowed smaller Canadian firms
a presence at the trade show for less than a full-sized
booth would cost.

Sound like a dream machine we haven’t invented
yet? Hardly. There are companies devoting considerable
effort to making this dream a reality now, not
later. One of those is Smart Technology Enablers, Inc.

Mazin turned to the Net Integrator appliances
from Net Integration Technologies to replace
a Windows NT box running the investment company's
Lotus Notes Mail server.
Your typical setup scenario is really a matter
of plugging the unit in, giving it about a minute
to go out and find everything, and then going
into your browser to configure users.
Back in the old days, employees at Kanata, Ont.-based
J-Squared Technologies Inc. couldn't do much when
they visited branch offices.
All they could do was check their
e-mail, and they had to find an unused jack and
dial in over regular phone lines to a local Internet
service provider.
But this changed earlier this year
when J-Squared rolled out the Net Integrator server,
manufactured by Markham, Ont.-based Net Integration
Technologies Inc. It includes VPN capabilities.
