Net Integration Releases the New Net Integrator
Operating System 3.5.
Unique New Technologies Deliver Added
Reliability, Scalability and Ease-of-Use for the Small
and Medium Size Business Market
Toronto, ON, June 26, 2001
Net Integration Technologies, Inc., developer and manufacturer
of the Net Integrator family of AMD processor based
network server appliances, today announced the release
of the latest version of the Net Integrator Operating
System (NIOS) 3.5 at the AMD pavilion at PC EXPO 2001.
Net Integrator network server appliances
give small and medium size businesses access to essential
IT services including file, print and Web-sharing for
Windows and Macintosh users, e-mail, Web hosting and
caching, firewall, virtual private network, and integrated
backup. Net Integrator enables small and medium businesses
to easily and cost-effectively manage their IT needs.
NIOS 3.5 extends improvements in reliability,
scalability and ease-of-use with four new unique technologies:
Continuous Disk Backup provides automatic
micro backups as often as every 15 minutes, ensuring
a high level of reliability and simplified recovery.
Dynamic DNS (DDNS), as a bundled service,
eliminates the need for expensive static IP addresses
and allows businesses to host their own mail, Web
sites and FTP services on a dynamic IP address.
Double Vision High Reliability Internet
Connectivity enables intelligent bandwidth load sharing
across multiple links connected to multiple service
providers.
New Remote User Management Tools offer
administrators remote access to all active desktop
workstations.
"NIOS 3.5 enables us to provide our customers
with unmatched performance, reliability and ease-of-use
in our turnkey server solution." said Ozzy Papic,
President and CEO Net Integration Technologies. "The
added functionality and upgraded features combine to
make our network server appliances even more attractive
for our customers' IT needs and budgets."
"With stable Socket A infrastructure
designed to meet and exceed the long-term needs of businesses,
AMD Athlon and AMD Duronprocessors are an
excellent choice for network server appliances,"
said Kevin Knox, director of enterprise segment marketing
and business development in North America for AMD. "We're
pleased that Net Integration has chosen AMD processors
for the newest version of its highly optimized operating
system."
